Hi Robert,

Actually, WiZiQ has a Moodle Plug in that allows you to go into a Wiziq virtual classroom right from Moodle.

Hi Professor Zenhausern,

With your interest in Online Education, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Well, NRCEL (now Learning Point Associates) had an individual for several years that was focused on K-12 online learning and he was able to secured funding for an open call for proposals for virtual schooling research. He was also involved in several studies directly, and contracted for a number of studies. So, the first place I would look would be something like that model.

Who were the Pioneers of the Internet?

It is 1980 and the web was not invented, but the Bulletin Board System (BBS) flourished. They served the same function of a website, email, file transfer, graphic all in text. Most were served by a single phone line and there was no communication among the BBS.

Nostalgic Asides
I remember the Sister BBS in Staten Island, NY had to close down because of a hacker.
I found a 300 baud modem a little slow and felt the need to upgrade soon. Ancient history.
